Welcome

At Camp DIG, we want every child to discover that learning can be exciting, meaningful, and rewarding. Through hands-on experiences, encouragement, and opportunities to explore new interests, campers build confidence in their abilities and develop skills that extend far beyond the classroom. We hope each camper leaves with a greater curiosity about the world, a love for learning, and the confidence to continue asking questions, trying new things, and growing throughout their lifetime. Our goal is not only to make a positive impact during their time at camp, but also to inspire a lifelong passion for learning that they will carry with them wherever they go.

Want to keep learning, keep growing? Here are a few Tips

read it, hear it, own it

Confidence reading cycle: GOAL is to develop fluency.

Read it

Have your student read the story to you.

hear it

Model good reading to your student and read the story all the way through for them

own it

Have your student read their story to you again. Reading will improve with repetition.

handwriting drills

Peterson Method of Handwriting: GOAL is to create muscle memory so writing becomes seamless.

Alphabet in 40

lowercase alphabet in 40 seconds. Coach them using prompts.

As many letters as possible in 1 min

Set a timer for one minute and see how many letters your child can write  before the times up.

USE THE READING MATERIAL IN YOUR CHILLD‘S BINDER TO FACILITATE THESE EXERCISES.
